Program overview:  This program is for Incoming Freshman to LTHS, the LTHS Class of 2027, players who intend to attend LTHS and tryout for the baseball team.

Dates for program: Week of May 30 to July 26th
Practice/Game Days:  Tuesday practices & Wednesday game night
Times:  Tuesday 5:00PM– 7:30PM and Wednesday 5:00PM-9:30PM
Where:  LTHS Baseball Stadium and other Austin Area High School Stadiums

Below are Q&A’s, and misc. items:

1. What if I can’t attend every week?  No problem.  As early as possible let the coaches know the days/weeks you're going to miss.
2. What if I’m still playing with my spring select team?  Attend what you can and miss what you need to choose to miss.
3. How will pitching be managed?  All the kids that want to pitch will have a chance to pitch over the course of the season.  For players that are still playing on the weekends, we will treat this like a mid-week bull pen.
   
4. How will teams be selected?  Everyone that registers will be placed on a team.  We will have 2 “flex" teams (Red team & White team).
   1. “Flex” Meaning, we want the boys to have the opportunity to move around and they may be asked to fill positions on one or the other team based on situational needs.
      
5. Who will coach the teams?  We will have volunteers from the community that have played at the D1 college level to manage and other volunteers to help with practices and games.  
6. Who will we play?  Each team will play other area high school incoming freshman teams (Westlake, Dripping Springs, Bowie, Hays, Buda Johnson) as well as intrasquad scrimmages.  
7. Everyone will play and get a chance to play their preferred position over the course of the season.
8. Every player will get one “LT” baseball hat, one red shirt with a number, and one white shirt with a number.  You will need to provide white pants, red socks, black socks, red belt and a black belt.
9. Practice/game attire is LT baseball hat, white baseball pants, red or white shirt, red or black belt, red or black socks.
10. Can my son pitch and/or catch?  Yes, we want to have as many of each position as possible.  We understand most of the boys are currently playing with their travel teams so we will need to understand their previous weekend pitching numbers.
