FAQ

Q.	Can I request that my player be placed on a team with a specific player or coach?
A.	When organizing teams, the league will review all requests. We attempt to honor those requests, however we cannot guarantee that a specific request will be fulfilled. If you have any questions, please never hesitate to contact us.
Q.	Can I request that my child not play or practice on certain nights due to other extracurricular, family or religious commitments?
A.	The league, when organizing teams, cannot promise to fulfill requests regarding play or practice nights. However, your request will be assessed and we will attempt to accommodate this request if possible.
Q.	Is my child automatically placed back on the same team they played on last spring?
A.	No, each season team's are formed by the board after assessments.
Q.	Is my child on the same team for both the spring and fall seasons?
A.	No, each season team's are formed by the board after assessments.
Q.	Can I request that my child play on a team with their best friend?
A.	When organizing teams, the league will review all requests. We attempt to honor those requests, however we cannot guarantee that a specific request will be fulfilled. If you have any questions, please never hesitate to contact us.
Q.	Can I request that my child be put on a team with a friend so that we can carpool to games and practices?
A.	The league, when organizing teams, cannot fulfill requests to have children paired up on teams because of carpooling requests.
Q.	Can I request that my player NOT be placed on a team with a specific other player?
A.	This is a very unfortunate situation but the league, when organizing teams, cannot fulfill requests to not have certain children placed on teams with other specific players. However, this request will be noted when teams are formed and there will be a conscious effort to avoid placing players with historical issues (between them) on the same team.

Q.	Can I choose to have (or not have) my child placed on the same team as his sibling?
A.	The league will attempt to honor this request. This request shall be made by contacting the league office or softball president.
Q.	Do my team placement requests carry forward with each registration?
A.	No. Each season is separate and any requests need to be resubmitted each season.
Q.	Can I request that my player NOT be placed on a team with a specific Coach?
A.	The league will attempt to honor all valid requests to not place players on teams with a coaching conflict. However to be a valid request, an explanation as to why that player can not be placed with that specific coach must be given to the Softball Board President in writing. Merely stating a desire in the comment section of the registration form is NOT acceptable. All explanations are discreetly reviewed. If valid, a simple note stating that a specific team (not a coach) is not a placement option for that player will be presented during the team selection process.
Q.	My child has tremendous natural abilities and superior abilities (for her age) when it comes to playing softball. Is she allowed to move up into an older league to play with players who have like abilities?
A.	Playing up is not encouraged and is handled on a case by case basis. ALL play up requests must be approved by, and are at the sole discretion of, the Softball Board. A player's age and experience level are a few of the factors that are used.
Q.	My child misses the cut-off date by 1 day; can they play in the same league as their friends?
A.	In some cases players may be place in an upper division when this scenario applies. However, all play up requests must be cleared by the Softball Board. We do not allow players to play down in a lower age division.
