Hello Softball Families!

LTYA Softball received organizational approval to launch a competitive select softball program to complement our successful recreational program.  

LTYA has previously approved similar programs in baseball, soccer and basketball that provide an avenue for experienced players to participate in their sports at the highest levels, and we are excited to provide a similar opportunity in softball.

Our select organization will be called RIPTIDE Fastpitch. We currently have RIPTIDE Fastpitch teams at the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U divisions. 

LTYA Softball at its heart is a recreational organization providing opportunities for girls of all skill levels, and that will continue to be our charter.  Benefits like association with the high school program, free and paid clinics, and All-Star teams will continue to be a part of the entire organization.  RIPTIDE Fastpitch will have the benefits of being associated with LTYA but be an option for experienced players wishing to make the commitment that select softball demands, without having to travel an hour or more to be associated with a team.

Each team has a dedicated coaching staff that finds tournaments to play in. The coach determines the number of tournaments they want to enter each season and creates a budget based on tournaments, equipment, uniforms, etc. These budgets are different for each team. The head coaches are in charge of tryouts and creating the team. Not everyone who tries out for a RIPTIDE Fastpitch team will make the team. Please let a board member know if you are interested in having your child try out for a team and we can put you in contact with the appropriate coach.
