Welcome To Lake Travis Girls Lacrosse

Our goal at Lake Travis Girls Lacrosse is to develop and nurture the intellect, character, and athletic potential of our student athletes through caring and excellence in all of our endeavors.  We offer Fall and Spring Lacrosse Programs for girls grades 3-8.  If you have an older child interested Lake Travis HS Girls Lacrosse

Youth teams compete with neighboring lacrosse programs for an enriching athletic experience.  Although the Spring season is our main competitive season, we also offer fall lacrosse where the focus is on stick skills and fundamentals sprinkled with a fun tournament or two towards the end of the season.

Come join us! No experience required.  We are happy to work with anyone who wants to pick up the stick for the first time!

Spring Lacrosse 

***Free Try-Lacrosse Clinic February 4th***

Are you wondering what girls lacrosse is all about?

Join us on February 4th, at 2pm for our free Try Lax clinic!

Open to all girls in grades 3rd to 8th.

Location: Lake Travis Middle School

This is a great opportunity to learn about one of the fastest growing sports.  The clinic will be taught by our youth coaches, high school coaches and high school players, covering the basic skills of this awesome sport!  Registration required through LTYA.

Spring Season Info:
Lake Travis Youth Lacrosse is for Girls 3rd-8th grade. 
Teams are as follows:
3rd/4th grade = Lightning
5th/6th grade = Juniors
7th/8th grade = Seniors

Lightning 3rd/4th grade girls: Practices are February 12th-April 30th. There will be one preseason play day before spring break. Saturday or Sunday games during March & April. No practices the week of spring break.
Juniors 5th/6th grade girls: Practices are February 12th-April 30th.  Games will be Saturday or Sunday between March and April, with the potential of post-season play April 30th-May 2nd.  No practices the week of spring break.
Seniors 7th/8th grade girls: Practices are February 12th-April 30th.  Games will be Saturday or Sunday between March and April, with the potential of post-season play April 30th-May 2nd.  No practices the week of spring break.
Practices occur at LTHS Upper Grass Field 
*subject to LTISD blackouts*

Tuesday and Wednesday, 6p-7p at LTHS Upper Grass Field
Equipment Required: Stick / Goggles / Mouth Guard
3/4- $350 Uniform Included

Meet our Youth Director- Caitlin Vasile


Caitlin Vasile

      A native of Lancaster, NY, Caitlin was formally the Program Director/Head Varsity Coach for the Vandegrift Vipers. Prior to moving to Austin, Caitlin was the assistant coach at Canisius Women's Lacrosse, a NCAA Division I college in Buffalo, NY from 2018-2021. Primarily managing the offensive team's players and strategy, Vasile helped Canisius maintain its streak of 12 straight trips to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship, highlighted by the program’s eighth consecutive trip to the MAAC title game in 2018.

Individually, Vasile had been instrumental in the coaching of both 2018 MAAC Offensive and Midfielder Players of the Year with six other attackers/midfielders receiving All-MAAC honors during Vasile's tenure.

Other Career Highlights:

Head Coach at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (2015-2018): Guided the Scots to a school-record tying seven wins in her first campaign, as well as their first ever win over a nationally-ranked opponent. A pair of Fighting Scots earned All-PSAC honors under her tutelage, which marked the first time Edinboro had more than one honoree.

Head Coach for the Malvern St. James School in Worcestershire, England (2013-2015): Oversaw four different teams with varying age groups.

At George Mason University, Vasile was a three-year starter and the captain her Junior and Senior seasons. A midfielder, Vasile finished as the Patriots’ second-leading scorer as a Sophomore and third-leading scorer as a Junior and Senior. She remained 2nd on the team in draw controls Junior and Senior year. In 2013, Caitlin was the 1st Women’s Lacrosse Player to make an ESPN Top 10 appearance. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Tourism in 2013. Vasile completed her Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2021.
