DB Academy – Footwork & Skills Camp
The DB Academy is a defensive-focused training program for 3rd–6th grade athletes who want to improve movement, footwork, and defensive football skills in a structured, high-energy environment.
This program focuses on the movement and technique that defensive players need to be successful, including total body control, balance, footwork, backpedal and transition mechanics, change of direction, pursuit angles, positioning, and ball awareness. Athletes will learn how to move more efficiently, react faster, and play with more confidence.
Training will be led by 6A Texas State Semifinalist coaches Ryan Luedecke, Chance Grayson, and Barrett Shirey, along with former Lake Travis Cavalier defensive backs, providing athletes with experienced, high-level instruction while still keeping the environment positive, encouraging, and age-appropriate.
Athletes will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure each participant gets the right level of instruction, repetitions, and development.
While the primary focus is defensive football, the movement training, balance, and body control taught in this program translate to all sports, making this a great off-season program for any athlete.
